How credits are counted

Everything that uses credits is counted once, under one of seven categories, and shown in Analytics, in credits. Credits are charged when the work is done, and for what was actually done: for lead work you pay for what was found or scored, not for an estimate.

CategoryWhat it coversWhat it costs
AccountsConnected accounts: owned accounts and rented onesAbout 100 credits per connected account each cycle. A rented account is charged for its rental period, less the connector fee you already paid. The Accounts tab shows the exact amount for each account.
Lead sourcingAdvanced Sourcing, AI Search and Instagram search1 credit per unique prospect saved with Advanced Sourcing. AI Search and Instagram search are charged for the work the search does; an Instagram preview stops at 100 credits and a save at 500. With Advanced Sourcing, reading your description and previewing results is free.
EnrichmentLooking up emails and phone numbers1.5 credits per email found. With phone and email, 5 credits per lead where a phone number or an email is found. Nothing is charged when nothing is found.
QualificationScoring leads against your criteria, for a list, a campaign, profile visitors or a quickstartAbout 2.5 credits per lead scored.
OutreachWriting messages, handling replies and phone callsMessages and replies are charged for the AI work behind them, a fraction of a credit each, one row per lead. Calls are charged per started minute.
Playbook automationGenerating a playbook, regenerating its messages, quickstart messages and strategist reportsCharged for the AI work and the pages read to produce them.
ResearchFinding out about a lead before an AI-written message, at Standard or Deep depth. Basic is free3.5 credits per lead at Standard and 6 at Deep, charged once per lead. A lead researched at Standard and later at Deep is charged the difference. See Research depth and hooks.

Anything else that uses credits, such as chat with an agent or an answer from Ragworks AI, shows as Other. So do charges made before credits were counted by category.

What is free

Sending doesn't use credits: invites, messages sent, profile visits, emails and direct messages. Their counts are on each campaign's Metrics tab, not in Analytics.

AI work is charged by what the model used

Writing a message, scoring a lead or generating a playbook uses an AI model, and each call is charged for the tokens it used. That is why the same kind of charge can differ a little from one row to the next. The AI models tab shows tokens and credits for each model, and every ledger row for an AI charge names its model.

Where to see each one

  • A category's total and share: Overview, in Credits by category.
  • The charges behind it, one by one: the Ledger, filtered by category.
  • Lead sourcing and research against their cycle limit: Lead sourcing budget.
  • Research on its own: Research by depth and Research credits on the Lead sourcing tab.
  • A campaign's messaging, calls and playbooks: Campaigns.
