Connecting to Your Assistant on Telegram

A quick 3-step guide for end users to pair their Telegram account with your Ragworks agent.

This page is for the end user receiving a bot link and link code from an admin. Admins setting up the bot itself should see Connect a Telegram Bot and Generate a Link Code.

Step 1: Download Telegram​

If you don't already have it, download the Telegram app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or visit telegram.org to install the desktop version.

Step 2: Open the Assistant Bot and Tap Start​

Open the bot link your admin sent you (for example, https://t.me/your_bot_username) on your phone or computer.

This opens a chat with the assistant inside Telegram. Tap Start at the bottom of the screen. The bot will reply and ask you for a link code.

Your admin will send you a unique link code separately. Type or paste that code into the chat and send it.

Once it's accepted, you'll see a confirmation message letting you know you're connected and ready to chat.

Your link code is valid for 4 hours. If it expires before you enter it, just let your admin know and they'll generate a new one for you right away.
